Two veterans speak to students

We appreciate our veterans and the sacrifices they have made for our country and to protecting our democracy.

Graebner Elementary School recognized and took the opportunity to honor the men and women who have so bravely served or are serving our country in the Armed Forces.

We created a “Wall of Honor” to help us remember these special individuals on Veteran’s Day (November 11, 2016). A special slideshow was created honoring our Graebner parents who have served or are currently serving in the military.

During our program, we also had an opportunity to visit a war ship through a real-time interactive virtual tour with a Petty Officer in the United States Navy currently assigned to a vessel in California.

This virtual tour took us on a journey throughout the ship receiving an in-depth, behind the scene, real-time experience of the day-to-day operations on a war ship.  The students were able to interact with the Petty Officer in California asking questions as he walked them through many areas on the ship.

The students, staff, and community learned so much during this presentation.
